Kasetsart University recognizes and gives real impetus to environmental problems, because, at present, problems such as environmental pollution and natural resource degradation are becoming more and more serious and hindering national development. It is therefore necessary to develop and offer degrees in environment in order to help society to effectively overcome environmental challenges.

Kasetsart University recognizes and gives real impetus to environmental problems, because, at present, problems such as environmental pollution and natural resource degradation are becoming more and more serious and hindering national development. It is therefore necessary to develop and offer degrees in environment in order to help society to effectively overcome environmental challenges.

Kasetsart University Council approved the establishment of the Faculty of Environment on July 30th, 2012. The Faculty was established by amalgamation of the Department of Environmental Science, the Faculty of Science, and the College of the Environment. The Faculty of Environment offers bachelor, master’s and doctorate degrees in environmental technology and management and in environmental science. The Faculty is committed to preparing graduates with a wide range of knowledge, academic skills, and competence for future professional career and success.

The Faculty of Environment’s research interest covers a diverse research fields, including environmental pollution and control, waste utilization, ecology, environmental impact assessment, environmental management and standards, and environmental education. The Faculty also has strong professional linkages with many government agencies, state enterprises, industries, and local communities, operating at local, national and international levels, through collaborative research projects and sharing of knowledge and expertise.

The Faculty of Environment consists of four Departments: 1.Office of the Secretary, 2. Department of Environmental Technology and Management, 3.Department of Environmental Science, and 4.Research and Academic Service Center. Assistant Professor Dr. Surat Bualert is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Environment.
